Description
This is a replica of a Weighted Companion Cube I made from the “Portal” game series.
Dimensions 15x 15x 15 cm (6 x 6 x 6 inches), weight is about 850 grams.
The core is made from sanded and painted PVC, the light diffusers are made from white acrylic. The other parts are 3d-print from ABS, sanded and painted, and glued around.
The LED lights are controlled via Bluetooth. You need just to download the application from GooglePlay or AppStore.
The colors can be a little different in real life than in photos.
Inside the cube glued one 18650 battery, one charge controller with micro-USB or type-C interface, some 5V LED RGB strip, and one Bluetooth RGB controller. The charging current is ~1A. In 100% brightness mode cube can light for 5-7 hours, sometimes more. Less brightness expands battery lifetime.
Note, that some shipping companies don’t accept packages with li-po batteries, so maybe I ask you to buy one 18650 battery locally after receiving your Cube.
One of the cube walls can be opened for charging. Also, you can turn on/off the RGB controller by switching manually.
Please select a state. “DIY Kit (printed)” or “Completed”.
In the case of “DIY Kit (printed)” the product contains 3d printed parts, cut PVC partc, laser-cut acrylic parts, Bluetooth RGB LED controller, LED strip, charge controller, battery slot, and LiPo battery. Electronics will be soldered.
In the case of “Completed” the product is finished (sanded, primed, painted, and weathered).
The Cube can be more or less weathered and painted in the colors you want.

This companion cube is a really good product to purchase if you are a big fan of portal!
It is perfectly crafted to look like a smaller replica from the actual game that can fit on your desk with a big range of LED options to choose from.
It was obviously understandable why the delivery took a bit, because of everything that is currently happening in Ukraine at the moment.
Overall, a great product that I would recommend to a friend or anyone who likes Portal.
